Dear Mina,

In September, my husband and I were finally able visit Italy, a trip that each of us has waited a lifetime to take and is one that we had been actively planning and saving for three years. As amazing as we each knew this trip would be before we stepped on that airplane, the reality is that the trip was so much MORE than we ever could have imagined, and you were a big part of that.

This trip was years in the making for us – when we finally decided it was time to stop saying, “Someday we’ll visit Italy,” we hit the Internet to research all of the possible places to visit and started asking everyone we knew who had visited Italy for advice on where to go, what to do, etc. By the time we were ready to start booking our travels we felt we had a really good idea of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see, but we needed help with booking hotels, trains and still had a few lingering questions to help us narrow down our final itinerary. However, we found ourselves quickly discouraged as it felt as if every travel agency we contacted fell into two categories: The first was only interested in selling us first-class, all the way and told us flat out that our budget wasn’t something they could work with; the second already had pre-planned trips and itineraries that, although they would advertise were “customizable,” really weren’t, after all.

Then we found you – from the very beginning you were quick to answer our questions (and I know we had a lot!) and completely honored our travel budget. You helped us narrow down our itinerary and helped us find little ways here and there to save us money (i.e. when we wanted to go to Capri for a night, you arranged for our hotel in Sorrento to hold our luggage for us for a night so we didn’t have to pay portage fees on the ferry to Capri.) You also very much listened to us and our wishes. When we told you the one thing we really, really wanted was an amazing sea view in Sorrento, and that we were willing to stay at less fancy hotels along our other stops in order to make this work on our budget, you more than delivered. Our view in Sorrento was so amazing that we found ourselves bringing dinner back to the hotel just so we could sit on our balcony and enjoy the view some more. We also had an equally amazing view at our hotel in Capri – by far one of the most memorable. As a matter of fact, when both saw the views at these hotels, we both said, “We really need to thank Mina!”

When we were unclear of where exactly to stay in Tuscany, you steered us toward Villa Cicolina and Montepulciano – also an amazing, stunningly beautiful place to stay, visit and get lost in. My husband and I would both go back to Villa Cicolina and the town of Montepulciano in a heartbeat – it really is an amazing place to visit!

Our hotels in Rome and Venice were also wonderful, with great staff and great locations. The winery tour, gondola ride and small group tours in Rome, Vatican City and Venice were top-notch. Really, our only complaint about the trip is that it’s over :)

THANK YOU and your staff for helping us with our trip. It was the trip of a lifetime and is one that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We will, without a doubt, recommend you and your services to anyone we know who is planning a trip to Italy and if we are fortunate enough to visit Italy again in the future, you will be our very first call!

Sincerely,

Desiree & Keith

Hi Faye,

We just wanted to thank you for arranging such a wonderful trip to Venice and Amalfi. We could not be happier with everything you arranged.

The hotel in Venice was located in a quiet area away from hustle and bustle of Rialto and St. Mark’s. The staff and amenities were very good and the water taxi was very close. We found a couple of neighborhood restaurants that we really enjoyed close by. Perfect.

We don’t know if you performed some magic at the Santa Caterina, but we were upgraded to a Junior Suite upon arrival. Three balconies!!!! There are not enough adjectives to describe our experience at this fabulous hotel! It was simply perfect! But you already knew this. We cancelled our plans to visit Ravello just so we could spend a full day at the hotel, and so happy we did. EVERYONE from the concierge (all of them) down treated us like we were the only ones in the hotel.

Thank you so much for sending us to the Santa Caterina.

We definitely will return someday and when we do…we’ll call you.

Thank you, again.

Joe & Sandy
