ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Cairo
Arrive to Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs. At Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed by your representative, and then escorted to your hotel.
DAY 2
Cairo – Museum and Citadel Tour
Your morning will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which includes the world's largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen's tomb. Visit the Mummies room, stop for lunch at the fish market restaurant, and later drive to the Citadel of Saladin, to visit the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. In the evening, enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids.
DAY 3
Cairo – Old Cairo and Khan El Khalili Tour
Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Sergius Church. Stop for lunch at Naguib Mahfouz café, and later explore the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the largest 13th century oriental market, on your walking tour.
DAY 4
Cairo, Luxor
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cairo airport to catch a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your luxury cruise ship, for a 5-day, 4-night sailing adventure. Visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Take a break for an afternoon tea. In the evening you will go to the Karnak Temple, to witness the Sound and Light Show. Return to your cruise ship for dinner, followed by a belly dancing show. Overnight stay in Luxor.
DAY 5
Luxor, Esna
After breakfast, visit the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, sail onto Esna. Take a break with an afternoon tea. Later, enjoy the Captain's welcome cocktail and dinner. Overnight stay in Esna.
DAY 6
Edfu, Kom Ombo
During breakfast, your cruise ship will take you to Edfu. Upon arrival, take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, considered the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. During your sail to Kom Ombo, enjoy lunch. Spend the rest of the day onboard relaxing with an afternoon tea and dinner in the evening, followed by a Galabeya Party. Overnight stay in Kom Ombo.
DAY 7
Kom Ombo, Aswan
After breakfast, visit the temple of Sobek and Horus in Kom Ombo, then sail to Aswan. Lunch will be served on board. Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Granite Quarries and Philae Temple. Relax with an afternoon tea and dinner in the evening, followed by a Nubian Folkloric Show. Overnight stay in Aswan.
DAY 8
Aswan, Cairo – Abu Simbel Tour
Disembark and take your transfer to the Aswan airport to catch a short flight to Abu Simbel. Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. After visiting this magnificent site, you will be transferred back to the Abu Simbel airport, for your flight to Cairo, via Aswan. Relax and take advantage of the facilities offered by your Cairo hotel.
DAY 9
Cairo – Alexandria Tour
Your day will begin early, with breakfast, followed by a private transfer to Alexandria, accompanied by your English-speaking tour guide. Visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shukafa and the Quait Bay Fort. Take a break for lunch, before proceeding to the National Museum and Alexandria Library (Bibliotheca Alexandria). Transfer back to Cairo in the evening.
DAY 10
Cairo – Pyramid Tour
After breakfast, enjoy the scenic drive to the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, standing for the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza, with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, explore the ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of United Upper and Lower Egypt, followed by a visit to Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. In the evening, enjoy your top-class service, aboard a Nile dinner cruise, as you glide past Cairo's illuminated skyline, with an entertaining belly-dancing and folklore show.
DAY 11
Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport, to catch your departure flight.
