ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Cairo
Arrive to Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs. At Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed by your representative, and then escorted to your hotel.
DAY 2
Cairo - City Tour
Start your day with a guided tour of the Cairo Museum, with artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the treasures of King Tutankhamen's tomb. Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Sergius Church. After lunch, drive to the Citadel of Saladin and visit the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Enjoy a walking tour of the largest 13th century oriental market, Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
DAY 3
Cairo – Pyramids Tour
After breakfast, a scenic drive will take you to the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, continue to the ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of United Upper and Lower Egypt, and later visiting Sakkara, the site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser.
DAY 4
Cairo, Luxor
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cairo airport to catch a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your luxury cruise ship, where you will spend the next five days and four nights on your Nile cruise. Visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Explore the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight stay in Luxor.
DAY 5
Luxor, Edfu
Early morning sailing to Edfu, via Esna. Overnight stay in Edfu.
DAY 6
Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan
Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, considered the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Horus. Then sail to Aswan and stay overnight.
DAY 7
Aswan
Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Philae. Sail onboard a felucca, a typical Egyptian sailboat, as you enjoy the view of Kitchener Island's botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight stay in Aswan.
DAY 8
Aswan, Cairo – Abu Simbel Tour
After breakfast, you will disembark and be transferred to the airport, for your tour to Abu Simbel. Visit the colossal Temple of Ramses II and the temple of his beloved Queen Nefertari. Both temples were carved out of a hillside, beside the Nile, in 13th century BC. Transfer back to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel.
DAY 9
Amman
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch a flight to Amman, where you will be welcomed by your representative, and then escorted to your hotel.
DAY 10
Amman, Madaba, Petra
After breakfast, enjoy a drive on King's Highway, famously known as an ancient trade route which leads to the rose-red city of Petra. You will later see the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land in Madaba, followed by a stop at Kerak, an old crusader castle. Continue to Petra, where you will stay overnight.
DAY 11
Petra, Amman
Explore the city of Petra, a rose-red city carved out of the side of the mountain, leaving tourists enchanted by its unique architecture and beautiful colors. Wander through time as you visit the monastery, siq, and treasury. Drive through the desert road en route to Amman, where you will stay overnight.
DAY 12
Amman, Dead Sea, Amman
Take advantage of your leisurely day by visiting the Dead Sea beach, the lowest and saltiest place on earth, where everything is unsinkable! After your relaxing day, return to Amman via a scenic drive, where you will stay overnight.
DAY 13
Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Amman Queen Alia Airport, to catch your departure flight.
