ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Cairo
Arrive to Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs. At Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed by your representative, and then escorted to your hotel.
DAY 2
Cairo - City Tour
Begin your honeymoon with a guided tour of the Cairo Museum, with artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the treasures of King Tutankhamen's tomb. Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Sergius Church. After lunch, drive to the Citadel of Saladin and visit the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Enjoy a walking tour of the largest 13th century oriental market, Khan El Khalili Bazaar, as you spoil each other with gifts and souvenirs.
DAY 3
Cairo, Pyramids Tour
After breakfast, a scenic drive will take you to the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, continue to the ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of United Upper and Lower Egypt, and later visiting Sakkara, the site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser.
DAY 4
Cairo, Luxor
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cairo airport to catch a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your luxury cruise ship, for a 5-day, 4-night sailing romantic adventure. Visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Take a break for an afternoon tea. In the evening you will go to the Karnak Temple, to witness the Sound and Light Show. Return to your cruise ship for dinner, followed by a belly dancing show. Overnight stay in Luxor.
DAY 5
Luxor, Edfu
Early morning sailing to Edfu, via Esna. Overnight romantic stay in Edfu.
DAY 6
Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan
Travel by a dreamy horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, considered the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Horus. Then sail to Aswan and stay overnight.
DAY 7
Aswan
Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Philae. Sail onboard a felucca, a typical Egyptian sailboat, as you enjoy the view of Kitchener Island's botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum in the company of your loved one. Overnight stay in Aswan.
DAY 8
Aswan, Abu Simbel Tour
Disembark and take your transfer to the Aswan airport to catch a short flight to Abu Simbel. Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Both temples were carved out of a hillside, beside the Nile, in 13th century BC. After visiting this magnificent site, you will be transferred back to the Abu Simbel airport, for your flight to Cairo, via Aswan. Relax and take advantage of the facilities offered by your Cairo hotel, such as a couple's massage.
DAY 9
Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport, to catch your departure flight.
