ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Split

Welcome to Split, the city that grew out of an Emperor’s palace more than 17 centuries ago to become one of the most vibrant cities in the Mediterranean. Your private driver will pick you up from Resnik International Airport and take you to your luxury hotel in the city. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the hotel or opt for a leisurely walk down to the old town and the seafront promenade (Riva) to explore the lively cafes and restaurants with the Diocletian’s Palace as your backdrop. Ask your travel advisor for their favorite spots in the city.

DAY 2

Split City Tour

After your transfer from the hotel to the Split city center, you will meet your private guide and step inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site Diocletian’s Palace, one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments built for the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD. Wander through the still very lively narrow streets inside the palace, explore the grandiose palace cellars, the 4 palace gates, the Jewish Ghetto, rub the toe of the Grgur Ninski statue and learn more about the fascinating history of the city and the infamous Emperor. Your tour will finish at the bustling waterfront promenade Riva where you can opt to stay for a relaxing drink or light lunch surrounded by panoramic views of islands Ciovo, Brac, and Solta.

DAY 3

Board the yacht, first stop island Brac

The best way to experience the beauty and history of the South Coast of Croatia and its islands is with a private cruise. After meeting your driver at the hotel, you will head to the Split marina where you will meet your captain and board the vessel. The captain will go over the suggested itinerary which will depend on the weather conditions in the days ahead of you, and will start your journey towards Milna on Island Brac. On your way, you will pass the pristine islands and islets around Solta and Drvenik Veli, and Mali with swim stops in secluded bays and off-the-beaten-track beaches providing you with privacy and tranquility. Milna on island Brac is a traditional Mediterranean fishing town located deep in a protected bay, making it the perfect mooring location. Fall in love with its quaint squares, cobbled streets, and lush greenery. Your captain will provide you with recommendations for restaurants and cafes.

DAY 4

Hvar and Paklinski Islands

After breakfast, your captain will set sail towards one of Croatia’s best-known islands – Hvar. If weather permits, you will have the opportunity to stop and swim in pristine waters, visit the wild and untouched Paklenski islands and capture a myriad of unique photos along the way. If you are interested in nightlife, the captain will take you to Hvar town for the night out or if you prefer more traditional and tranquil settings, he will make a stop at Stari Grad before anchoring for the night. The captain will also provide recommendations for the best restaurants depending on your preferences.

DAY 5

Vis and Blue Caves or Korcula

Island Vis has been closed off to tourism until very recently due to its military history meaning that this island is still very much uncrowded and filled with natural beauty. This ruggedness and picture-perfect island villages and towns have made Vis the ideal location for movie sets, the most recent one being Mamma Mia 2: Here we go again. Vis is also the perfect destination from which to visit another natural wonder in this area island Bisevo and its stunning Blue Cave. If weather permits, the captain might opt to continue to island Korcula in the afternoon or anchor in Vis. There are many reasons to visit Korcula, from its history dating back to Ancient Greece (even the old name for Korcula given by the Greeks Korkyra Melania, was an homage to one of their island gems – Corfu), dreamy Korcula town, and Vela Luka with their cobblestone alleys and vibrant squares, beautiful beaches to great food and local wine.

DAY 6

National Park Mljet, Elaphiti Islands and Dubrovnik

After breakfast, you will start your journey towards Dubrovnik, the final destination of this cruise. On route, you will be able to explore the stunning National Park Mljet, famous for its two saltwater lakes surrounded by fragrant and thick Mediterranean forest. Mljet is also believed to be the island Odysseus swam to after he survived the shipwreck and hid in the cave only to be captured by the nymph Calypso. Continuing to Dubrovnik, you will also pass the Elaphiti islands archipelago, perfect for another swim stop in pristine waters. After you dock and disembark in Dubrovnik, a driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

DAY 7

Panoramic Dubrovnik Tour

This tour will take you beyond the standard sites and help you fully explore the architecture and history of the city and its golden age. The tour starts with a scenic drive from the New Bridge of Dr. Franjo Tudjman to the Srdj hill where you will revel in the astonishing view of the entire city of Dubrovnik, its majestic walls, and the deep blue Adriatic together with the Elaphiti islands. The drive will then continue towards the other side of the city walls, Žarkovice and the Dubrovnik archipelago. Your driver will stop at the gate and you will enter the old town accompanied by your licensed guide through either Pile or Ploče Gate (two main entrances to the Old City). Along the way, you will visit the Church of Holy Salvation, a grandiose Franciscan and Dominican church, crown jewels of Dubrovnik, Knezev Dvor, the Rector’s Palace, Old port, vibrant town squares, monuments, and fountains. One of the highlights of your walking tour is the famous Pharmacy at the Franciscan Monastery, built in 1317. Inside is a fascinating collection of decorated jars filled with ancient remedies, unique measurement devices, together with alembics and mortars. You can opt to extend your tour with a walk around the city walls on your own, it is a worthwhile experience and a pleasant 2-hour walk.

DAY 8

Departure day

Your private driver will meet you at the hotel lobby to transfer you from the hotel to Dubrovnik International Airport for your flight back home.

Anthony & Hannah in UK - Travelive Reviews

Anthony & Hannah, UK

Both of us love the sea but we wanted to check out the “must-see” places on the coast so this trip was perfect. Marko, our captain, took us to the most gorgeous beaches, we were squid fishing at sunset, hiked on Vidova Gora on Brac, had an incredible lunch in Palmizana, all in all, it was spot on!

We wanted romance and a bit of adventure and you delivered. Faye, amazing job with putting this trip together, Stella, thank you for arranging a new phone charger in record time. See you all again soon XOXO
