DAY 1
Split
Welcome to Split, the city that grew out of an Emperor’s palace more than 17 centuries ago to become one of the most vibrant cities in the Mediterranean. Your private driver will pick you up from Resnik International Airport and take you to your luxury hotel in the city. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the hotel or opt for a leisurely walk down to the old town and the seafront promenade (Riva) to explore the lively cafes and restaurants with the Diocletian’s Palace as your backdrop. Ask your travel advisor for their favorite spots in the city.
DAY 2
Single-day 2 Island Yacht Cruise
This full day of island hopping on board a private yacht will enable you to experience some of the most fascinating islands and islets in Central Dalmatia including Brac and Solta. After meeting your driver at the hotel lobby, you will head to the Split harbor where you will board the boat and get acquainted with the full itinerary. The captain will first set sail to the quaint town of Milna on island Brac, filled with historical sights, scenic beauty, and the irresistible charm of a typical Dalmatian fishing town. Wander around this postcard-worthy town and relax in one of the small cafes with a cup of espresso and watch the world go by, just like the locals. You will then head back to the boat for a swim stop in one of the secluded bays near Milna. Your next destination will be the island of Solta, passing several small islets along the way, including the true hidden gems in Dalmatia, Vela Rina bay on island Drvenik Mali and the famous Blue Lagoon on the island of Drvenik Veli. The Blue Lagoon is nestled between the two islets (Krknjaš Mali and Krknjaš Veli) and one island (Drvenik Veli) and offers perfect swimming conditions sheltered from winds and waves. After another swim stop, you will reach Solta and the quaint town of Necujam located in the biggest bay on the island. Explore the town or ask your captain for a restaurant recommendation. Return to Split in the afternoon.
DAY 3
National Park Krka and Sibenik Tour
In the morning, your driver will meet you at the hotel and start your panoramic 1.5-hour drive to the entrance to the Krka National Park where you will meet your certified guide. Explore the paths surrounded by lush greenery, the Ethnographic collection, an old crafts exhibition, and check out the old mills right on river Krka. See all of Krka’s natural wonders combined with historical structures and its fairytale beauty that was recognized in 1985 when it was declared a National Park. Prepare your cameras as you reach the main waterfalls Skradinski Buk and observe different species of fish and birds, swim next to the waterfalls in the designated swimming area after your sightseeing tour is completed. If the water is too cold for you, you may enjoy the picnic area of the park or take a boat ride to Skradin, a picturesque town situated at the very entrance of the National park, an ideal location for a lunch break in one of the local taverns. On your way back to Split, your driver will stop in Sibenik, a city founded by the Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV in the 11th century. For a while, the city was the seat of Croatian kings. Wander through the narrow streets and explore the beautiful St. James Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which took over 100 years to build. This building stands as a monument to the people of Šibenik and their determination. Return to Split in the evening.
DAY 4
Split, Hvar
After breakfast and check-out, your private driver will take you to Split port to catch a hydrofoil to Hvar. Upon arrival in Hvar, a private driver, or an assistant (depending on the location of your selected hotel) will be waiting at the port to take you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 5
Hvar Extended Island Tour
The town of Hvar is a visual feast for lovers of architecture, often resembling an open-air art gallery. Encompassing all the major sights and landmarks of historic Hvar, this tour offers a complete perspective of one of the most important Venetian harbors in the eastern Adriatic. Wander through the landmarks of Hvar town including Groda, Piazza, the Arsenal and the first public theatre in Europe, Cathedral of St. Stephen, Franciscan monastery, Renaissance Palaces, and many others. After the walking tour in Hvar, you will drive along the panoramic old road connecting Stari Grad and Hvar above Velo Grablje. After a short stop at Vidikovac, a hill with one of the best views on the island, you will reach Stari Grad or Pharos as the ancient Greeks named it, one of the oldest settlements on the Croatian coast. Walk through the stone streets of this picturesque town founded in the 4th century BC, visit Hektorovic’s castle called Tvrdalj, the Dominican Monastery, the ruins of the Ancient Pharos, and the neighboring early Christian church of St. John from the 5th century. Your next destination will be the well-known vineyards in the UNESCO protected Hora, the best-preserved Greek cadaster in the Mediterranean. Continue then to the small town of Vrboska which lies at the end of one narrow and curvy fjord. Due to its numerous small bridges, it is known as Little Venice. Finally, you will visit Jelsa, a charming little town on the northern part of the island founded in the 14th century. As your Hvar Island Tour comes to an end, you will head back to Hvar taking the new road driving along the south coast passing one of the most beautiful bays on the island.
DAY 6
Day at Leisure
Spend the day relaxing by the pool or on the beach or explore the traditional island towns Stari Grad or Jelsa. Ask your travel advisor for their favorite spots on the island.
DAY 7
Hvar, Zadar
After breakfast and check-out, you will head to the Hvar port to catch a Hydrofoil to Split port where a driver will be waiting to start the journey to your luxury hotel in Zadar. Enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace exploring the hotel grounds or opt for an afternoon tour of Zadar to catch the famous Zadar Sunset, the lighting of the famous Greeting to the Sun art installation and the soothing sounds of the renowned Sea Organ.
DAY 8
Full-Day Foodie’s Exploration of Island Pag
Today’s tour will allow you to discover Pag, an island that represents every foodie’s dream. Even its landscape is different from any other in the country, it is barren, rocky, and sepia-colored, with vast, empty landscapes reminiscent of the lunar surface. Located 40 minutes from Zadar, it is renowned for its old olives, award-winning sheep cheese, and delicious lamb. In the past, island Pag was one of Croatia’s largest suppliers of high-quality salt and you will see numerous pools during the tour as well as visit the factory to see how salt is produced today. You will also explore the cheese production plant with a guided tour and a chance to sample some of these incredible hard cheeses. Another unique characteristic of this island is its delicate and durable lace. It is the pride of the island and prized throughout Croatia. Even now, it's possible to see ladies pouring over their lacework on the streets of Pag town, and you will learn more about the creation of these small masterpieces during a tour of the lace museum.
DAY 9
Day at Leisure
Relax by the pool or on the beach, or, taking advantage the fact that Zadar is surrounded by several National Parks, you can opt for a tour of Plitvice Lakes or the Kornati islands sailing paradise.
DAY 10
Departure day
In the morning hours your private driver will meet you at the hotel lobby to transfer you to the Split International Airport for your flight back home.
