Created in 1867 by the English traveler Sir Thomas Hanbury, soon after their establishment they became the model for all other gardens along the Italian and French Riviera; the property is scattered with statues, fountains, and arches, and encloses some archaeological remains dating to the Antiquity. Once the visit is over, proceed through the Nervia valley, the domain of Rossese di Dolceacqua, one of Italy's finest wines, and reach Dolceacqua, a medieval village coiled around the slopes of a hill and dominated by the remains of an old castle.
To access to village, you cross an old masonry bridge, built in the 15th century to connect the center of the village to a newly developed area. During your saunter, you will stop at a local tavern to taste a good glass of Rossese di Dolceacqua accompanied by local appetizers before returning to Sanremo.

Meet our guide at the hotel and start the day with a private tour of the Duomo, the iconic landmark of Milan. A Gothic cathedral famous worldwide, this majestic building offers centuries of history that today you will unveil accompanied by our expert guide. After the history tour, you will have access to the panoramic terraces at the top of the cathedral, right below the Holy Mary’s golden statue. From there, marvel at the immensity of Milan, with its modern skyscrapers and historical landmarks like the Sforza Castle.
After an afternoon at leisure, meet us again at the Navigli for an apericena, the most Milanese of habits. The best place on earth for an “apericena”, the bustling Navigli district is a system of canals and waterways which has become a magnet for artists and all sort of creative people, who gave new life to dilapidated buildings, while keeping the character and functions of the area.
Picturesque but still authentic corners appear unexpectedly before your eyes while you explore the area and its food. Have a charcuterie and cheese board with a glass of wine surrounded by locals enjoying their aperitivo, and then keep going, following the stream, and try the “mondeghili” - small meatballs on-the-go originally made with leftovers, so that there is no official recipe for them. A pleasant walk along the canals, where old barges are still moored, leads you to the “case di ringhiera” – railing houses – a kind of typical popular lodging erected from the end of the 19th century to provide cost-effective housing to workers moving to Milan. Some railing houses have been reconverted, but some others are still there, to offer a glance on the essence of the old Milan. Here, stop for a last tasting: a mouth-watering “fritto misto”, deep fried morsels, enhanced by a glass of prosecco.
DAY 14

Time to come back home! Our driver will meet you at the hotel and take you to Malpensa Airport for your flight home.
