ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey. After clearing customs and immigration, your representative will meet you at the airport, and assist you and your loved one to your private transfer, that will take you to your five-star hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure in Istanbul, with your other half.
DAY 2
Istanbul – Istanbul Classics Tour
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of the classical sites of Istanbul as a married couple. Begin at the magnificent Hagia Sophia. This marvelous Byzantine basilica was built in the sixth century and is considered the Eighth Wonder of the World. Continue to the 17th-century Ottoman Blue Mosque, a great example of classical Turkish architecture, famed for being the only in the world, with six minarets. You will also visit the Hippodrome, the former center of sporting and political activities in Constantinople. During the visit, you will be able to see the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi, and the fountain of Wilhelm II. Your tour will end at the historical Grand Bazaar, a very tempting shopping experience, full of a rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewelry, leather and souvenirs that you can spoil each other with.
DAY 3
Istanbul
Spend a day at leisure exploring the amazing sites and vibrant atmosphere of Istanbul or take an optional Bosphorus Cruise, with the love of your life. Ask for suggestions from your Leisure Travel Consultant, about their favorite sites and romantic activities in Istanbul.
DAY 4
Istanbul, Cappadocia
In the morning you will take a transfer to the airport, to catch a flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your romantic Cappadocia hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure or take an optional tour, as a couple.
DAY 5
Cappadocia – Goreme Tour
After breakfast, your half-day private tour will begin, by visiting Cappadocia's most famous attraction, the Goreme Open Air Museum, a complex of several painted cave-churches carved out by Orthodox monks between 900 and 1200 A.D. The paintings and decoration represent the flowering of a uniquely Cappadocian artistic style. Next, you will visit the small villages of Cavusin and Ortahisar, admiring their rock-cut dwellings and stone houses that are now abandoned. At the end of the tour, you will have the option to either return to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon with your loved one, or continue with a tour of the Kaymakli Underground City.
DAY 6
Cappadocia
Take advantage of your free day, by admiring the breathtaking landscape of Cappadocia, as you daze into one another's eyes. Romance your loved one, as you experience many wonderful things such as an optional hot-air balloon ride or a tour of the Cappadocia region. This tour includes Uchisar, Sognali Valley, the regions highest spot with churches dating back to the 9th and 13th centuries, and Ihlara Valley, known for its rock-cut underground dwellings.
DAY 7
Cappadocia, Kusadasi/Izmir/Sirince
In the morning you will take a transfer to the airport, to catch a flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in either Izmir or Kusadasi, enjoying the remainder of the day at your leisure with your other half.
DAY 8
Kusadasi/Izmir/Sirince – Ephesus Tour
After breakfast, your private full day tour to the ancient city of Ephesus will begin. Ephesus is among the best-preserved ancient sites in the Mediterranean. Your first stop will be at the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian, Theatre and Odeon. Following the archeological site, you will visit the House of Virgin Mary. In the afternoon, you can return to your hotel for relaxation with a couple's massage or romantic dinner.
DAY 9
Kusadasi/Izmir/Sirince
Spend a relaxing day adoring the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean or exploring the region's wonderful ancient sites, including Pergamum, Hierapolis, and Aphrodisias. Ask your Travel Consultant for additional sightseeing recommendations to enjoy with your husband or wife.
DAY 10
Departure
Take a transfer to the Izmir Airport, for your return flight to Istanbul and your later connection home.
