DAY 1
Barcelona
Welcome to Spain, a country filled with a memorable fusion of historic sites and masterpieces of modern art and architecture, delicious food and wine, fertile planes, crystal-clear seas, and a myriad of opportunities for a romantic getaway. Upon arrival at the Barcelona airport, a representative will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure, explore the unique blend of traditional and modern architecture, or discover the delicious local cuisine. Ask your travel consultant for recommendations of their favorite restaurants, cafes, and bars.
DAY 2
Barcelona – Barcelona Modernism Walking Tour
Discover the architectural gems of Barcelona and explore some of the city’s most renowned sites such as the Sagrada Familia, whimsical Park Guell, and many others. Your private guide will share the city’s secrets and legends, show you the hidden gems of this vibrant city, and help you take memorable photos that will always remind you of your Spanish adventure.

DAY 3
Barcelona – Visit the El Penedès wine country
Can you imagine a better day to immerse yourself in the local traditions than hiking through the wine country? After meeting your guide at the hotel, you will start your scenic drive to the El Penedès. It is one of the oldest wine-making regions in Europe, world-famous for producing wines of exceptional quality, especially cava (sparkling wine). Once you arrive, your guide will explain the daily activities and you will start your hike between the vineyards of this beautiful Mediterranean countryside. The path follows a landscape dotted with farmhouses and wineries surrounded by lush greenery and vines. As you walk you will learn about the grape varieties of the area, the traditions, and the history of the region. During your breaks, you will have the opportunity to sample typical Catalan snacks while you soak up the beautiful views of the iconic mountain of Montserrat. The hiking route will lead you to a small family-owned organic winery where you will enjoy a guided visit to the cellar and will learn about their history and the wine & Cava elaboration process. After the visit, you taste the wines from their range of white, red, and sparkling wines paired with delectable local snacks.
DAY 4
Barcelona, Madrid
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station for a romantic train ride to Madrid, filled with great views. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury hotel. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure and don’t forget to ask your Travelive specialist for the best dining spots for two.
DAY 5
Madrid – Madrid Old Quarter and Royal Palace Walking Tour
Marvel through the rich history of Madrid during your private walking tour of the city's colorful center and the Royal Palace. Your licensed English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel, before setting off through the historic streets, discovering the old quarter, the Barrio de la Moreria, and learning about the city's Moorish roots. Continue to the Renaissance and Baroque buildings of the Habsburg era, in Calle Mayor, the Plaza Mayor, and the Plaza de la Villa. At the end of your walking tour through the old quarter, make sure to visit the impressive Royal Palace, the former residence of the Spanish Kings. The palace is adorned with the royal family's exquisite collection of tapestries, porcelain, antique clocks, armor, and artworks. Admire priceless paintings by Goya and Velazquez, as well as the official Reception Hall, the Royal Chapel, the Hall of the Throne, and the private room of King Carlos III and Queen Isabel II.

DAY 6
Madrid – Explore UNESCO World Heritage sites Avila and Segovia
In the comfort of your private vehicle and with the assistance of your knowledgeable licensed guide, discover the rich history and grandiose sites of Avila and Segovia. Sometimes called the Town of Stones and Saints, Avila is often considered the town with the highest number of Romanesque and Gothic churches (and bars and restaurants) per capita in Spain. Explore the famous walls and soak up the history before moving on to another Spanish gem – Segovia. This town will welcome you with the most impressive Roman Empire site in Spain, the massive, gravity-defying aqueduct.
DAY 7
Madrid, Seville
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Madrid rail station for your train to Seville. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury hotel. Enjoy the remainder of your day soaking up the beautiful architecture and unique culture of Andalusia or spice up your night with a unique flamenco experience.
DAY 8
Seville Walking Tour
Today's tour will take you through the beautiful streets of Seville's unique city center. Together with your English-Speaking guide discover the Barrio Santa Cruz, the Cathedral of Seville, and La Giralda, a symbol of the city that unites the Islamic past with the Christian cathedral. You can optionally enrich your tour with a romantic horse and carriage ride through the city’s colorful streets.
DAY 9
Seville- Cordoba Full-day Tour
After you arrive, your expert local guide will take you to explore Cordoba, a city with impressive cultural and monumental patrimony. Not many places in the world can say they have been the capital of Hispania Ulterior (Further Spain) under the Roman Empire and the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate. The UNESCO organization recognized the universal importance of Cordoba's historic legacy and extended the title of World Heritage Site not only to the Mosque-Cathedral but also to all the streets and buildings surrounding it. The structure of this Mosque-Cathedral is regarded as one of the most accomplished monuments of Moorish architecture. It was originally a church built by the Visigoths and it has been a witness and victim of historical fights between Muslims and Christians since 711 when the Muslims first conquered Spain.
Optional: Cordoba tour can be replaced with an equally stunning visit to Ronda and the picturesque white villages.
DAY 10
Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport, to catch your departure flight.
