ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 1
Arrival in Tirana
Your honeymoon begins with a private transfer from Tirana International Airport to your hotel in the capital.
Nothing is planned for the remainder of the day, leaving time to settle in after your journey. Head out when you are ready for a first walk through central Tirana, stop for coffee near Skanderbeg Square, or ask your Travelive planner for a restaurant recommendation for the evening.
DAY 2
Tirana & Albanian Cooking
Meet your private guide for an introduction to Tirana, beginning around Skanderbeg Square and the Et'hem Bey Mosque. Continue through the city to the Pyramid of Tirana and Blloku, discovering how the capital has evolved from its Ottoman beginnings through the communist period to the energetic city of today.
Later, turn your attention to Albanian food during a hands-on cooking class. Prepare traditional recipes, learn about the ingredients and techniques behind them, and sit down to enjoy what you have made.
The remainder of the day is free to explore Tirana at your own pace.
DAY 3
Tirana to Berat
Leave Tirana after breakfast and travel south through central Albania toward Berat.
Check into your hotel for two nights and leave the afternoon unscheduled. Walk along the Osum River, explore the lower streets of Mangalem, find a quiet café, or simply enjoy the slower pace of one of Albania's most atmospheric historic cities.
The full Berat experience is saved for the following day, so there is no need to begin sightseeing immediately after arrival.
DAY 4
UNESCO Berat & Wine
Discover Berat with your private guide, beginning at the hilltop castle before continuing through the historic neighborhoods of Mangalem and Gorica. Traditional houses climb the slopes above the Osum River, creating the distinctive cityscape that helped earn Berat UNESCO World Heritage recognition.
Later, leave the historic center for the surrounding countryside and visit a local winery. Learn about Albanian grape varieties and regional winemaking before tasting locally produced wines and accompaniments in a relaxed setting.
Return to Berat with the evening free for dinner and another walk through the old town.
DAY 5
Berat to Gjirokastër
Continue south through Albania's inland countryside toward Gjirokastër.
Arrive at Kerculla Resort and settle in for two nights above the UNESCO-listed stone city. No formal sightseeing is scheduled this afternoon. Enjoy the hotel and its surroundings, or head down to the Old Bazaar for an informal first look at Gjirokastër.
Keeping the day light gives you time to enjoy the journey and your new surroundings before exploring the city properly the following morning.
DAY 6
Gjirokastër & the Blue Eye
Explore Gjirokastër with your private guide, beginning at its hilltop castle before continuing through the Old Bazaar and stone streets of the UNESCO-listed historic center.
Visit one of the city's traditional houses for a closer look at the architecture and domestic life that shaped Gjirokastër over generations.
Later, leave the city for the Blue Eye, a natural spring surrounded by forest and known for its remarkably clear blue water. Spend time enjoying the setting before returning to Gjirokastër for your final evening.
DAY 7
Gjirokastër to the Albanian Riviera
Leave the mountains and travel toward the Ionian Sea, with the transition from inland Albania to the Riviera becoming part of the experience.
Stop at Porto Palermo, where the historic fortress overlooks a sheltered bay, then continue to Himarë for time along the waterfront and a leisurely lunch.
Follow the coast north toward Palasë and check into Green Coast Resort MGallery Collection for three nights. From here, the pace deliberately slows. Spend the rest of the afternoon at the beach, by the pool, or simply enjoying your first evening on the Riviera.
DAY 8
Private Riviera Boat Experience
Discover the Albanian Riviera from the water on a private boat experience along the Himarë coastline.
Cruise toward Gjipe Bay and other secluded beaches, caves, and clear-water swimming spots that are difficult to reach from land. The exact route can be adjusted according to weather and sea conditions, allowing your skipper to select the best places to stop that day.
The private format leaves plenty of time to swim and relax rather than following a rigid schedule. Return to Palasë in the afternoon with the rest of the day free to enjoy the resort.
DAY 9
The Riviera at Leisure
There is nothing you need to do today.
Stay at Palasë and spend the day by the sea, or head to nearby Dhërmi for a different stretch of coastline and a leisurely lunch. Swim, relax at the resort, linger over lunch, or let the day unfold without a schedule.
After more than a week of exploring Albania, this day is deliberately protected for time together by the Ionian Sea.
DAY 10
Palasë to Tirana via Vlorë & Zvërnec
Enjoy a final morning on the Ionian coast before beginning the journey north toward Tirana.
Pause in Vlorë for a walk along the waterfront and time for lunch before continuing to nearby Zvërnec. Cross the wooden footbridge over Narta Lagoon to St. Mary's Monastery, set among the trees on a small island.
After time to enjoy the quiet surroundings, continue north to Tirana for your final night. The evening is completely free for dinner or one last walk through the capital before departure.
DAY 11
Departure
Your private transfer to Tirana International Airport will be arranged according to your flight time.
