ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Split

Welcome to Split, the city that grew out of an Emperor’s palace more than 17 centuries ago to become one of the most vibrant cities in the Mediterranean. Your private driver will pick you up from Resnik International Airport and take you to your luxury hotel in the city. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the hotel or opt for a leisurely walk down to the old town and the seafront promenade (Riva) to explore the lively cafes and restaurants with the Diocletian’s Palace as your backdrop. Ask your travel advisor for their favorite spots in the city.

DAY 2

Split, Ancient Salona, and Trogir Tour

Embark on a tour of three exceptional historical towns Split, Trogir, and Salona, all located within a 30 km stretch of the Dalmatian coast. After your transfer from the hotel to the Split city center, you will meet your private guide and step inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site Diocletian’s Palace, one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments built for the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD. Wander through the still very lively narrow streets inside the palace, explore the grandiose palace cellars, the 4 palace gates, the Jewish Ghetto, rub the toe of the Grgur Ninski statue and learn more about the fascinating history of the city and the infamous Emperor. Your history lesson will continue with a visit to Salona, the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia some 2000 years ago, and one of the five largest cities in the entire Roman empire. Explore the large Roman amphitheater which was fit for a city of 60.000 at its peak, Manastirine, a necropolis that was used from the 2nd century BC until the destruction of the city in the 7th century, and many other sites within this live archaeological park. Your next destination is Trogir, a small island town that was founded by the ancient Greek settlers in the 3rd century BC. Trogir is an excellent example of a medieval town built on and conforming with the layout of a Hellenistic and Roman city that was conserved with a minimum of modern interventions, earning the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For centuries, Trogir was a place where numerous artists left their mark and as for its most famous sites, from the St. Laurence Cathedral portal to the Venetian fortifications used to fight off the invaders, this small city will leave a lasting impression.

DAY 3

Single-day 2 Island Sailing Adventure

This full day of island hopping on board a private yacht will enable you to experience some of the most fascinating islands and islets in Central Dalmatia including Brac and Solta. After meeting your driver at the hotel lobby you will head to the Split harbor where you will board the boat and get acquainted with the full itinerary. The captain will first set sail to the quaint town of Milna on island Brac, filled with historical sights, scenic beauty, and the irresistible charm of a typical Dalmatian fishing town. Wander around this postcard-worthy town and relax in one of the small cafes with a cup of espresso and watch the world go by, just like the locals. You will then head back to the boat for a swim stop in one of the secluded bays near Milna. Your next destination will be the island of Solta, passing several small islets along the way, including the true hidden gems in Dalmatia, Vela Rina bay on island Drvenik Mali and the famous Blue Lagoon on the island of Drvenik Veli. The Blue Lagoon is nestled between the two islets (Krknjaš Mali and Krknjaš Veli) and one island (Drvenik Veli) and offers perfect swimming conditions sheltered from winds and waves. After another swim stop, you will reach Solta and the quaint town of Necujam located in the biggest bay on the island. Explore the town or ask your captain for a restaurant recommendation.

DAY 4

Split to Hvar

After breakfast, you will board the fast hydrofoil to Hvar. Depending on the hotel you select, your private driver or porterage assistant will be waiting at the port to take you to your hotel. For the remainder of the day relax at the pool or soak up the sun at the beach. Ask your travel advisor for the best restaurants and nightspots in Hvar Town or Stari Grad.

DAY 5

Hvar Off-Road Adventure

Embark on a fun-filled off-the-beaten-track adventure through the island of Hvar and discover locations that will provide you with unique Social media content. Explore the highland plateaus of lavender fields, ancestral olive groves, stone walls, abandoned villages, and many locations rarely visited by tourists as even some of the locals don't know they exist - all completely inaccessible by regular tour buses or rental cars and far away from the hustle and bustle of Hvar town. Once your four-wheel-drives reach the highest points of the island you will see amazing panoramic views of open seas and stunning Central Dalmatian island Vis, Bisevo, Korcula, and Lastovo. You will also visit one of the most picturesque locations on the island, the unique abandoned village of Malo Grablje. You will stop in this area for an exclusive traditional meal in a setting you won't forget. After some great food, lots of laughs, and a glass or two of world-renowned Hvar wine, you will start heading back towards Hvar town.

DAY 6

Day at Leisure

Spend the day relaxing by the pool or on the beach or opt for a wine tour that will allow you to get acquainted with some of the renowned wines produced on the island.

DAY 7

Hvar - Dubrovnik

After breakfast and check-out, you will head to Hvar port to catch a hydrofoil to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, a private driver will be waiting at the port to take you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 8

Private Dubrovnik Panoramic City Tour

This tour will take you beyond the standard sites and help you fully explore the architecture and history of the city and its golden age. The tour starts with a scenic drive from the New Bridge of Dr. Franjo Tudjman to the Srdj hill where you will revel in the astonishing view of the entire city of Dubrovnik, its majestic walls, and the deep blue Adriatic together with the Elaphiti islands. The drive will then continue towards the other side of the city walls, Žarkovice and the Dubrovnik archipelago. Your driver will stop at the gate and you will enter the old town accompanied by your licensed guide through either Pile or Ploče Gate (two main entrances to the Old City). Along the way, you will visit the Church of Holy Salvation, a grandiose Franciscan and Dominican church, crown jewels of Dubrovnik, Knezev Dvor, the Rector’s Palace, Old port, vibrant town squares, monuments, and fountains. One of the highlights of your walking tour is the famous Pharmacy at the Franciscan Monastery, built in 1317. Inside is a fascinating collection of decorated jars filled with ancient remedies; unique measurement devices, together with alembics and mortars. You can opt to extend your tour with a walk around the city walls on your own, it is a worthwhile experience and a pleasant 2-hour walk.

DAY 9

Day at Leisure

Spend the day relaxing by the pool or on the beach or opt for a walk around the Dubrovnik City Walls in case you did not get a chance to see them during your Dubrovnik City Tour.

DAY 10

Private Peljesac Wine Tasting Tour

Peljesac Wine Tour takes you to the beautiful Pelješac peninsula, home to intriguing red wines. The tour includes a duo of wine-tasting opportunities in some of Croatia’s most respected wine cellars and field visits to their vineyards on the picturesque slopes of this magnificent peninsula renowned as the first winegrowing area protected by the Geneva convention back in 1961. Your first wine tasting experience will be in the Matusko winery, where you will get a chance to taste red & white wines and their legendary Dingac, made from 100% Plavac Mali grapes, a variety that is genetically related to the Italian Primitivo and the Californian Zinfandel which, as luck would have it, was made popular in the US by a Croat from Peljesac– Mike Grgic. The second winery of the day, Madirazza, is equally renowned for its stunning vineyards as it is for its excellent wines. This family-owned winery now produces around 160.000 bottles of red, white, and rose wines, and, just like most wineries on the island, they specialize in red wines. You will have the opportunity to taste their flagship wines paired with local delicacies.

DAY 11

Departure day

Your private driver will meet you at the hotel lobby to transfer you from the hotel to Dubrovnik International Airport for your flight back home.
